Decatur City Schools is proud to announce and welcome Mr. Regan Carpenter as the new principal of Austin Junior High School!

Mr. Carpenter is a familiar face in our community, having transitioned to AJHS from his previous role as an assistant principal at Austin High School. His deep understanding of our students, families, and the Black Bear culture makes him the perfect leader to guide our junior high students as they prepare for high school.

Mr. Carpenter is dedicated to fostering a supportive, safe, and high-achieving academic environment where every student can thrive. He looks forward to collaborating closely with our wonderful teachers, staff, and families to continue the tradition of excellence at Austin Junior High.

Mrs. Hastings and Mr. Pugh will be working with Mr. Carpenter as assistant principals.
